Yes and the cooling systems are selectively linked with mixing valves - also the DC/DC converter and motor drive inverter are in there, as is the cabin heater loop.

I am not sure but is the motor also cooled by the trans fluid? There is water/glycol coolant to carry the heat away but I wouldn't be surprised if the motor windings were bathed in the oil too for heat transfer. Not the same type of setup but the Ford hybrid trans (Fusion & C-Max Hybrid and...

Well in my instance, I was holding the release button down... the connector didn't want to pull out. I suspect there was some water that froze (or maybe the connector isn't milled to correct tolerances?)

I guess the main function of the LEDs is alerting others that your car is still charging so they don't yank your connection... if you're in a workplace or apartment type of situation with many cars and few chargers. Otherwise yeah, who cares?

In sub-20F temps my FFE consistently got around 70-75mi max. >20F it gets a little better and >32F, >40F etc it just gets better... There's definitely a persistent loss beyond the heater though. IIRC the battery coolant warmers might be running, though I haven't validated that with FORScan...
