Replacing the instrument panel did solve the problem. Had dealer do 3.5 update at the same time. The Sync module had to be replaced to get the update working - All Good Now.

Took car into dealer yesterday for 10,000 mile check up and to have them look at the blank LCD panel. They decided it was a problem in the instrument panel and have ordered a new one - should be here next week. We'll see.

Scheduled for the 10,000 mile inspection in a couple of days. After 10,000 miles I thought I had escaped the many reported problems but yesterday my left side LCD panel that tells state of battery charge went blank. I haven't seen this reported and hope it is something simple like a loose...

The battery is temperature controlled and uses power from the battery to keep itself within acceptable temperature range.

The humming is common to transformers or coils with laminated metal cores carrying large currents. It is caused by the vibration of the core material in response to the alternating current. This is normal - no cause for concern.

ICE cars don't show brake lights when in Low Gear and using the engine to slow a car going down hill so I wouldn't expect the EV car to show brake lights either when in Low. Of course if you step on the brake and are in Regen mode the brake lights will come on.

Level 2 is 240V Also it is possible that the 240V is on different pins on the plug from the 120V
