Well, I just looked into replacing my battery myself, and they make it VERY hard to remove the 12V battery. Since I'm under warranty, I've decided to have it taken to the local Ford dealer. I am going to request that they upgrade the battery, though - even if I have to pay for it.

I think that 90+% of these issues are just software glitches. I have had the message 3 times - each time I just turn the car off and back on and the problem goes away. It can be annoying, but is not a "major problem". I have 6900 miles and I have had no significant issues. I love this car.
