One of my key fobs fell and broke. It works fine, but the little slider that keeps the metallic key in place got lost. Looks like people on Ebay and elsewhere on the net sell replacements. Anyone have a good source for replacements? Is it self-program or do I need to go to the dealer or a locksmith?

The key fob is electronic and needs to be programed by Ford dealership. The metal key blank should be available from a ford parts department. I don't know if it is available seperatly.

If just the slider is broken, buy an unprogrammed key and swap the electronic circuit board and metal key. The board pops out quite easily and can easily be substituted.
