I am attempting to set default charge settings for the two most common locations (home and work) that I charge my 2014 FFE. I just deleted the app on my iPhone and am reinstalling now as that thing showed and did absolutley nothing when first installed. But I did go on the MyFordMobile site and my home locations is listed as an incorrect address. Is there a way to add locations without plugging in first? And if not, how can I edit the address to make it correct? One location is a 240 charger and the other is standard 120v. I believe I should be able to set default settings for both places but neither is listed even though I charge at each very regularly.

Don't worry about the address. It remembers the GPS location. You can set, for each location, your own name (home, work, etc). I think you DO need to charge at a location before it registers.

While you can set the default charge rate (240 or 120) I believe it doesn't give you the option for specifying at a location. Instead, it checks the available power when you first plug in and sets the schedule accordingly.

I use Plugshare to find all the charging stations. I pretty much gave up on the Myford app or built in GPS system because there might be 20 Charging stations within a 30 mile radius of me, but the MyFord app showed like 5.

Maybe he meant that the address is totally wrong? -- like, not near his home at all.

TomJ, you can can go into the Favorites section of the MFT navigation screens in the car and Edit the home location. You can also delete any charging location (including home) on the website, and "start over". But, Michael is right, "starting over" will mean charging there again. Charging there is what makes the location appear as a charging location.

Unfortunately, even having set up your desired charging locations, you might find that your car randomly chooses from different "known" charging locations based on the (apparent) fact that the charging locations are recorded aligned to a "grid".

I discuss the grid alignment issue here:
http://www.myfocuselectric.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1655

Basically, if your home (or any) known charging location happens to be near the center of a grid area, the location the car thinks it is charging at can "randomly" oscillate (from charge to charge) between as many as four possible locations. Long story short, you may need to set up multiple known charging locations ("Home #1", "Home #2", etc.) for the same physical location in order to get reliable Value Charge behavior, and of course keep all those (duplicate) profile settings in synch. Thanks Ford!
