Since I don't have my 240 circuit installed yet, I have been charging 110v. The read on a full charge usually shows 79 miles. Last night I charged to full on a 240 Clipper Creek at a parking garage and it showed 90 miles. When I started to drive, it decreased fairly rapidly to low 80's. I am a newbie to charging regimen. Anyone have an explanation?

Sure its called the "guess o meter": The range-to-empty indicator is the car guessing how far you can go on a charge based on your previous driving experiences.

There is a lot posted here and in the blog above, but in short, the power you use to drive one mile can vary...just as with an ICE car. Your FFE has no idea how you will be driving it when you get in and go. It has a lot to do about how you drove it last. If your driving was very conservative between the previous time you charged and this time you charged, then you will get a high estimate.

For example. My commute to work is slightly downhill. When I charge at work, the estimate is high. However, going home is slightly up-hill. The estimate drops like a rock. The converse is true when charging at home. The estimate is lousy, but since it is downhill, by the time I get to work, I have a lot of surplus.
