HD radio how to select

I looked over the mannual and still can't figure it out....

How do you select another HD channel if it is available?

For example, locally (in LA) there is a station 89.9 they offer HD 1 and HD 2

How do I select the HD 2 (tried pressing on HD, scan) nothing?

The way I do it is to wait until the station is fully hd, meaning that the first HD channel is coming in well and you can see the data from it. You can then use the directional pad associated with the volume knob to change hd channels. Push to the right for higher station numbers. If you do that and the radio station changes, the hd was not ready. Just repeat but wait longer.
