Just agreed to terms on a 2013 lease, even with the $4000 cheaper 2014 looming. When I ran the numbers the 2014 lease was higher because of two reasons. No extra incentives beyond the federal $7500 (vs $12750 total on the 2013). Furthermore the 2014 suffers from a lower residual value. In other words, they are leasing the 2013 as if it were $4000 cheaper, and it has a better residual value = cheaper lease. The only thing that would make me want to spend more is if the 2014 had the combo charger. Even though there has been speculation about the combo charger being on the 2014 months ago, all the window stickers available online now suggest otherwise.
