I've been lurking on this forum, researching and taking in the wisdom of all of the members, for the past couple months. Connecticut announced in mid-May a $3k state incentive for BEVs and I quickly narrowed my choice to the FFE. With the Ford incentive, Federal Tax credit, CT incentive and bargaining with the dealer, here are the numbers from my late June purchase of my 2015 Oxford White FFE with leather:
Sticker: $30,990
Negotiated price: $28,354.20 (dealer discount of $2,635.80 or 8.5%)
Dealer Conveyance: $429
Tax: $1,827.73
Title/Reg: $187.47 (I expect about $95 check back - the DMV interface would not allow them to override the registration fees - EVs have lower registration fees in CT)
Total before Incentives: $30,798.40
Less Ford Rebate: $4,000 ($3,500 rebate, plus $500 "Aged Vehicle" rebate - car was on lot since 12/14/14)
Less CT Rebate: $3,000
Less Federal Tax Credit: $7,500 (filed with 2015 fed taxes)
Total "out the door": $16,298.40
Total before taxes/fees: $13,854.46
I am also financing at 0% for 60 months. I took the CT rebate in cash (received 8 days after signing deal).
Thank you to all who share on this forum.
