Nav manual input unlocked

I know it is safety related but maybe when is a second person on the passenger seat he, she could set a destination. The voice activated one is useless and frustrant. Every front seat has a weight sensor for airbags and heathers and could be very easy to give the computer the OK for unlocking. Every other car I drove has this possibility.
