I just got my "new to me" FFE and as I'm coasting/braking to a stop I can hear the rear brakes. Is this normal and just in an ICE you'd just not be able to hear it? It sounds like a dragging pad if any of you have experienced that previously.

I can hear the brake pads contacting the rotors when I am going in or out of my garage. The car is moving so slowly, apparently, that the motor isn't stopping the car, but actually the brake pads. This sound would likely be covered up by engine noise in an ICE vehicle. If I were hearing this at anything above 3-5 mph, I'd take it to the dealer and have them look at it.

Oh, and congratulations on your "new to me" FFE. I love ours and I hope you enjoy yours as much as we do.

I'm leery of taking to the dealer here. There aren't many FFEs here (I've seen one) and I don't think the dealerships are electric certified as this market (Dallas!) isn't technically allowed to sell FFEs.

The FFE is sold nationwide: All us markets. The real question is are your dealers EV certified.

If I use the Ford dealership search tool and narrow the search by only searching for EV certified dealers 5 dealers show up in Dallas zip code of 75201:

(Note after you click on the link click on "Refine search" and select "Electric Vehicles")

The one by my house is found... but when I tried to buy one there they were definitely uninterested. I've got to get the license tag stuff dealt with first :D
