Seeing battery percent while driving?

Is there a way to see battery % besides the phone app?

While the visible depiction of the battery level in the car seems to reflect the percentage of charge, there is no display of the percentage as an actual number.

That said, the upcoming 3.5 software update (the current version is 3.1) seems to contain new MFT screens that will show a lot more battery information, including the charge level as a percentage.
