The Ford Focus Electric comes with a single speed transmission - or does it?This picture from Ford's website clearly shows a 'low' and a 'drive' setting, not to mention reverse. Does reverse count as a speed? Low does for sure. To me it looks like the Ford Focus Electric has a 2 speed transmission.Ford states the transmission is built specifically to handle the high rpms that an electric motor puts out. Being single speed, the Ford Focus Electric will have quick responsiveness and silky smooth acceleration... oh and 'no-compromise driving fun'
