I'm having trouble parsing your text. Can you expand your acronyms and add punctuation?

Not trying to be an ass, but I sincerely don't understand "power steering is hard and has error". What kind of error? Is there an engine light or code showing?

Also for "previous gsa car"-- at first I thought you meant previous gas car (as opposed to electric), which didn't make any sense, but do you mean General Services Administration, as in a government fleet car?

And when you say "someone may have messed with upper battery", is that the 12v battery under the hood? Otherwise, I'd think it would be hard to know if someone messed with the high voltage battery, unless you could do some disassembly.

Anyway, answers to those questions would help.

If it were me, unless I knew something about HV batteries and how to work on them and where to source replacement parts, I'd be leery of getting a 2014.

I take the steering is hard to turn, it was a government vehicle , and not sure of the errors . I recently bought a 2014 with 76978 miles and I now have 78600 miles and love it. It is cheap enough to give it a go as long as you have a mechanic or chk if power steering parts are available

There's a known issue with power steering on the Ford Focus both gas and electric it's not a cheap fix (Search ford focus power steering on YouTube). That alone indicates the price is too high.

I agree with vkdyer, unless the HV battery has been replaced with a 33.5k, I don't think I'd spend the money. Even then, a newer battery pack can have issues, but far less devastating. As for power steering, if there is an issue with it, it will likely be an expensive repair especially if it is unique to the Focus BEV.

Good to do you homework and ask questions here, but it will be hard to research the risk out of this one.

Power steering is costly if they need to replace it since like their gas car equivalent it is integrated into the rack and pinion. If it needs to be replaced they need to replace the rack and pinion. Common issue for many ford vehicles driven in -50 degree temperature
