    Tire pressure sensor fault.

Agree, trip to the dealer, warranty coverage. As far as I know there is no way to pair TPMS without the tool. Even with the tool, the procedure is horribly complicated (press this button, press that pedal, turn this here, do that, do this thing, and then that - all within 3 seconds of each...

    whole type of electric vehicle

If your presentation is going to be hours long and incredibly boring, by all means cut the detail super fine. If it were me, I'd stick to the three, hybrid, plug in hybrid, and all electric. Explain those and call it a day. Yeah of course there all kinds of variants (except really in the all...

2013 EV - Battery Loses Power when AC Turned On

There is a time when the A/C could use as much as the heater. If the outside temperature and the set inside temp are close - the thing runs the heater and the A/C to regulate the temperature. There's nothing you can do to stop the heater from running - other than change the temp setting.

    Tire pressure sensor fault.

If you have the TPMS pairing tool, you might try pairing the sensors again. Kind of like rebooting the computer.

    Guess-o-meter strangeness

Wow so your daughter is an expert at driving the car perfectly. That's amazing, you need to be a proud parent. Ride along with her to figure out what she is doing right. As others answered - yes that's exactly how the GOM works. It is very sensitive to changes in driving / energy use.

Dealerships Stop Maintenances For All FFE

That is tough. That's always the problem with importing a gray market car, service. I say this in the kindest way possible - you do know that nobody from Ford reads this forum? (well except some employees that have FFE's and aren't in a position to help you with service). Or it isn't an...

    Battery Saver...

Technically there is only one for the FFE. And yes it is special. Some people have tried the ICE Focus battery. Others have tried the Optima - very expensive - replacement battery for the ICE Focus. Just wander down to your dealership, they have them. They aren't that horribly expensive.

    Remote Start with Myfordmobile

Sorry have to ask - you remote started the car. The lights flashed, the fan started blowing, and nothing else happened. What were you expecting would happen? The car doesn't make any noise when it starts. The only reason you would use the remote start is to run the heater or A/C to get the car...

    Completely at a loss

Great reference. Sadly that battery is unavailable at Amazon now. The interesting thing, Amazon says it fits my 2012 ICE Focus, but not the 2013 FFE. As WattsUp already tried this, I'd be super confident the battery would fit the FFE and work well (hard to imagine Ford putting a different...

End of lease? What are you doing?

Don't think they will. The dealer collects any money and that's that. You signed the papers, the lease is done.

    Completely at a loss

Triangles got you the correct about how the 12V charging system works. The other part of the answer, is if your 12V battery is abused, it won't hold charge. So no it won't sooner or later charge an abused battery. As everybody has said, replace the battery. I just checked, figured the battery...

    Car Charging Website

Good catch on the 120 versus 240 charging. I think everybody is kind of right. There is the theory, 120 is less efficient than 240. Probably true. The next question, and so? Meaning, how much more electricity are you going to use with 120 versus 240 - you'd never see the difference in your...

    Car Charging Website

You might find this site useful. http://carcharging.us/index.php The thing you might find really useful is the section electrical plugs and adapters. Some make your own or buy. There is also a really good discussion about 120 versus 240 volt charging. It started as a Tesla thing, and has...

    Stock sony sub

I think it doesn't fit. I have both cars, an ICE with the Sony sub and an FFE. On the ICE, the sub actually goes in a space to the right side of the rear hatch area (taken up by battery on the FFE). The amp, and wiring are all under the floor panel with the spare tire (also taken up by the...

    Cheap L2 chargers on ebay

Sorry, I didn't follow 100% what you're doing with the 120V side. If you are using the old 120V charger, why would you use a J1772 extension cord, and not a standard 120V extension cord? The great big yellow one on Amazon works fantastic with absolutely no heat problems.

    Illuminated Door Sills

Great write up. Thank you so much. Kind of glad you did this now and not six months ago. When we bought the most recent FFE, I looked long and hard at the illuminated door sills. There was one that said Electric. I couldn't find anybody that did the work, so it was a bit of an unknown trying...

    Cheap L2 chargers on ebay

Read this article before you buy anything off of eBay or Amazon. https://chargedevs.com/features/amazon-evse-safety/ Here's how I look at it. Save $100 or $200 on a cheap charger. It might catch on fire. Burn down your garage, house, or car. There isn't a lot of savings there. There is a lot...

    Will AAA tow me home?

Carbuff - I've never run out of juice and had to be towed. However in four years of ownership, I've had an FFE towed three or four times to the dealer, and once after buying a used one. AAA has never had a problem. In fact the drivers usually love the challenge and are fun to talk with. If you...

Same name on mine from the Chicago area.

End of lease? What are you doing?

Nice - glad the inspection went well and you don't owe any money. That has to feel good.
