55,000 on my (now wife's) 2017 FFE. Still running great.

Why?

The adapter for the Lightning won't work on the FFE... yet. Eventually Tesla will open up Superchargers to all CCS-enabled EVs, at that point it will work. I thought that was going to be over the summer, but now I'm not so sure.

2017 and 2018 FFE's will definitely be able to use Superchargers with third party adapters like A2Z and Lectron, probably starting in May or June when Tesla opens them up for general usage. We will need to activate via the Tesla app and have an adapter, but there's no reason it wouldn't work.

Thanks for the info, when will the app be available for public use? Is it available for both Android and Apple? What differentiates you from Recurrent?

This was discussed in an earlier post - how to have windows open and close from the key fob on US vehicles that aren't set that way from Ford. Previously it required using a windows app called FoCCCus, but that hasn't been updated in a bit and doesn't work with 2017+ models (and possibly 2016)...

Just did the update this morning. Successfully running Sync 3. After updating did a "check for updates" via WiFi, and now it's downloading another file "JR3T-14G423-CA_103602.tar.gz" Tried a few times, it's unsuccessful. Seems there's an update to the update though. Maybe it will pick it up...

I used a 8GB USB. I don't know why they say 32GB, that's way overkill. I used the USB port in the center console box. Know that there is very poor indication of update status. You may no see any message for 5+ minutes. Just plug in the USB, turn the car on and let it roll for 30 minutes...

The zip file to extract to a USB drive is about 1.6 GB. You'll need at least a 2GB or 4GB USB drive. Sync 3 update went well.
