So, I wanted to share my recent experience as I haven't seen a similar problem reported here in the forum.
2013 Ford Focus Electric with about 5,500 miles. Trouble free until this problem.
Starting a week ago, I would come home and charge (only using the original 120v charger) the FFE and I would later get a notification that "Focus's scheduled charge has not begun." I usually wouldn't realize the car wasn't charging, and I would just plug it back in the next morning and it would charge fine. This happened about 3 different times until one day, it simply would not take a charge anywhere. I tried 3 different outlets at my home, a blink station, and finally the charger at the dealership near my house.
The dealership kept the car for 3 days to fix the problem. During this time, I was researching on the forum and was worried that it was a defective battery and would have to be replaced. (Which apparently can take 30 days or so.) Luckily, the dealership fixed the car by "resetting all of the electric components on the car and re-installing all of the software."
Anyway, the customer service at the dealership was good, and I just wanted to document the event in case someone has a similar experience in the future, they could possibly try a similar fix.
Still love the car.
