Yeah, it's nice, but not a terribly good value, IMO.

The Turbocord (currently) uses a not-very-common NEMA 6-20 connector for 240 volts. It is possible this may be rectified with future versions and/or (perhaps expensive) accessories, but the 6-20 connector is not one most people have in their garage (e.g., dryer outlet). And even if you manage to get it connected to 240 volts, operating at only 16 amps, the Turbocord will take well over 6 hours to fully charge an FFE.

Personally, I think the ClipperCreek LCS-25 is better portable EVSE (for Level 2 charging). It's somewhat cheaper ($549) and significantly more powerful (4.8 kW) than the Turbocord. It is available with a variety of plugs for standard 240V/30A/50A outlets, and can charge an FFE in just about 5 hours.
