Charging station location updates.

How does the navigation system get updated list of charging stations? From what i have been able to find out is that these updates come via siriusXM satalite. To get these updates you need an active account with travel link. If any one has more information please help me out.

I believe the charging station locations are on the map data on the SD card. I don't think they get updated until a new card comes out.
I don't currently have Sirius active, and my car shows a bunch of charging stations on the map (mostly chargepoints). There are many more since the new SD card was installed.

Yes: The new SD card update includes new charge stations.
Yes: The charge stations are automatically updated via Sirius but you do NOT have to have an active Sirius account for the stations to be updated.

Do you know you's data base they are using for the charging station locations?

Not sure the sources; I believe they are different (the Ford one vs the OTA update).
