Love my Focus EV and the lifestyle, unfortunately my work requires me to travel to too many places in the midwest that do not have charging stations (120 would take too long to return to Indy). Car is clean and just like new. Had it here for about 3 months now and love it, its going to be missed. I'm planning to move to lease a C-Max Engeri.

After some research I'm looking to swap my lease with someone. Ford will allow this for $75. If anyone here is interested PM me, my lease details, end date 7/15/2016, 36 months, $249.78/month, $1000 down. 10,500 miles. 3229 miles on it so far, on track for lease. If you have a C-MAX Engeri maybe we can work something out!

Anything to watch out for in swapping leases? Has anyone done this with a Focus EV?

Ha. That's funny. I'm actually going the other direction. I have a c-max energi that I love but want to go all electric. I'm leasing my energi but talking with a dealer here in Los Angeles to turn in my energi and get the focus ev. I've only had the car about 10 months but we are working on trying to make a deal. With all the rebates available it makes it possible for me to turn the cmax in early. My lease payment on the energi is really high because I had lots of negative equity on a trade in so I doubt you would be interested but I'm hopefully going to get some news this week on the deal.

IndyEV it would be handy to know what are of the country you are in. We can't get a deal that good here in the greater Phoenix are so you must be in California someplace with all the great incentives. Our leases are all $300 and up in AZ.

@Astrand1 ... That is funny! Let me know if you think we could work it out, maybe you could pay the difference in negative equity?

@jstack6....Car is in Indianapolis, IN. Leased it here locally from a Ford dealer. It's the leather higher end model available. Shipping could be a possibility.

IndyEV - there's two web-sites out there that allow you to "trade your lease". They cost to join (for both buyer and seller) so you got to be committed to the sale and I suspect they take a %age too. I've never seen any FFE's on there but quite a few Volts. From what I've read the best, and often only, success comes where you can add something to the deal (i.e. make several payments) to compensate the new owner for taking on the lease. Caveat emptor.

TonySpice- Thanks for the advice, I was hoping to avoid one of those sites as to keep fees down and avoid middle people. Might have to though if I can't find someone. Thanks!
