Level 1 charging cords compared

Aerovironment Dual Turbocord

14 AWG wire

Wire power loss in the cable when charging is 13.6 watts.

The Turbo cord power losses due to wire resistance are cut in half because of the larger wire size and shorter length cord.
The Turbocord easily fits inside of its storage bag. You could also store additional 240 volt plug adapters in the storage bag.

Cool.
Literally, that seems to mean a less-warm cable for the Aerovironment.

(The Clipper Creek LCS-25P I use now works fine, but the cord is thinner and gets warmer than my old spx did.)

How did you measure power loss in the cables?

Since the wire size is stamped on the side of the cable. I used the resistance for that size of wire two times the length of the cord to calculate the the resistance of the wire. Resistance x amps x amps = watts
