So I've owned the car for ~3 months. I've noticed the past few weeks that sometimes when I take it on the freeway, once I get above 65-70MPH, the acceleration starts suffering. When I try and accelerate, it does so very slowly, sluggishly.
When I first noticed this, it got to the point where once I got in that "state", even if I slowed down to, say, 20MPH, it would still veeerrrry slowly accelerate, to the point where it was a safety issue and I had to put my emergency lights on.

I took it to the dealership, they looked at it and "reprogrammed" a few things ( I honestly have no idea what they did), and said they didn't see the issue anymore (they never reproduced it to begin with).
Anyhow, I got the car back, and it started happening again, although not as bad as the first time.. I got to around 70MPH, and it would accelerate very slowly. I got fed up, and dropped it back off at the dealership. Unfortunately, their service dept is very slow, and I'm still waiting to even hear back from them.

Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Note: this is NOT related to the "feature" where if you go above ~85MPH, you can't go any faster. I'm aware of that, and this is an entirely different scenario.

Haven't experienced that problem.

It sounds like it might be a temperature issue. I think the car protects the battery if it is too hot or too warm (or too full of charge). It sounds like it is limiting current draw. Did you happen to look at the coolant level?

If the coolant level isn't low maybe you have a coolant pump going out? Yeah definitely sounds heat related, either low coolant, pump going bad or maybe even temp sensor going bad.
