Anyone Else Notice a Hole in Their Steering Column

Quick question! I noticed there’s a pretty large hole in my steering column right where the key and ignition would typically be (see pic, taken from the right side of the column). Just wondering, is this normal for all Focus Electrics? It seems like an open spot where dust or other contaminants could get in.

Should there be a plug or cover to fill this, or is it designed like this on purpose? Kinda worried if this should be covered.

Yeah, it sounds like your plug has fallen out.

depending on what year you have, that is where you put the fob to start the car when the fob battery dies.
