My FFE is a 2013 model.

I have a ScanGauge that I leave plugged into the OBD port to monitor State-Of-Charge (SOC), etc.

The car has only done this twice. After initially charging to 90%, it goes into its battery-conditioning mode. Even if I leave it plugged in for days, the SOC only creeps a little bit above its preset limit of 90 and never goes above about 91.5%. Some weeks ago, I happened to notice that the SOC was at 100. It was the first time I have ever seen it do that. Since that's not supposed to be good for battery life, I started the car and ran the heat for a little while until the SOC was back below 90. Then, a few days ago, I caught it up at 100 again.

Both times, it happened when the outside temp. was very cold (probably single digits).

Has anyone ever experienced this?

A related question: Does anyone remember when the winter battery-conditioning used to only run for a short time and then would shut off for a while (no yellow light on the charging station)? It would continue to cycle on and off whenever the car was left plugged in (in cold weather). Now, it just stays on all the time.

The change must be related to some programming update.
