Disable/turn off regen?

Constantly alternating the flow of energy in a battery will lesson it's life. It may not be obviously perceivable. Some EV makers are looking into Super Capacitors to buffer the temporary energy shifts to protect the battery from having to do it.

Interesting considering that hybrids do this. Although, this is one difference between Ford hybrids & Toyota hybrids. The Toyota hybrids will show extended periods with no current flow in/out of the HVB on the screen. During this time the HVB is only sending power to the DCDC converter to charge the 12V battery/power the accessories. The Ford hybrids almost never show a similar point of equilibrium and based on the data I've logged with Torque Pro the HVB is always either discharging or being charged.
