What does the charger itself look like? If you look at the cord that goes to the wall, there should be info stamped in it about the wires inside. The "fix" was adding a temp probe to the plug so that section has 2 more wires on the "good" one.
The change they made was switching to a Clipper Creek based unit that supported a thermistor in the wall plug to monitor for overtemp if the plug isn't making good contact. It's not inherently unsafe. That said, the dealer may very well still swap it under the recall if it's the old one.
The original unit was a rectangular prism shape with a cord spool that can snap around it. The replacement has a flared base and sort of a trapezoidal cross section. The original plug has stamping for 3 conductors while the new one has stamping for 5 (two more for the thermistor).
