Has anyone leased a Ford Focus Electric? What terms/monthly costs? I was quoted roughly between $600 and $700 per month including California taxes when I called a dealer there, depending on if a 36 month or 24 month lease.

Most of the competition has come down dramatically over the last few quarters and presently with model-year-end clearance Chevy they are below $400 per month for 24 month leases, including taxes and fees.

I delivered one on Saturday, customer qualified for 7500 rebate and put 5000 down, his monthly payments was around 250.00 including city tax...

I picked my 2012 FFE lease yesterday at Towne Ford in Redwood City CA.
After FORD incentives, the capitalized lease price was about $27,000. This worked out to $299/month at the 12,000 level with leather interior. DOn't forget to apply for the CA incentive!

Hi -

How long is your obligation? Is the $299 per month what you're actually paying each month?

This is a great-looking price, but is also a little bittersweet for me to look at. I gave up on waiting for Ford to get around to offering the vehicle in my area in Arizona, and at a truly excellent lease price such as you found, and went with a Nissan Leaf, even though I would have preferred the Ford with its seemingly better thermal management system.

Picking it up tomorrow. It's a 2012 and likely one of the last 12's in CA. Leather seats/std white. 36 mos. 10.5K mi/yr. $2800 down and $217/mo. CA tax included. Hopefully this is a good deal. Just the back of paper calculation it pays for itself over the older BMW 740iL it replaces. Will be happy to get the HOV sticker! I think I read they're good through 1/1/2015? Going to apply for the CA incentive tomorrow. Loading up my droid apps and I just ordered the Schneider CL2 charger at Home Depot. I didn't start thinking of all this until Saturday morning, so this has all come about very quickly. Very excited about EV'ing!

Sounds like a really good deal, even with the decent-sized up-front payment. I would have gone for it in a second if Ford had made something like it available in my area, but they didn't, so I settled for a decent Leaf lease deal.

Just picked mine up over the weekend.

2012, platinum metallic white, leather seats
$2556 down (so $56 after the rebate), $208/mo (including tax, etc), 12k mi/yr, 36 mo.

Seems there are still quite a few 12's to be had.

Regards,
Neal

The upfront is offset with CA incentive as well, so effectively it's $300 out of pocket. Extremely happy with the deal, it's basically free compared to what I was driving!

Neal, this looks like a great deal. What dealership did you use?

My Deal:

2012 with leather: MSRP $40,990.

36 month lease with 31,500 miles, $215.51/mo. includes all taxes and fees with a $2500 down.
The monthly payment includes wear care at $13.75/mo. Total out of pocket for the lease duration will be $7758 with a buy option of $18,600 at lease end. This was my first lease and I didn't want to get dinged at the end with extra fees for any extra wear items. Not sure if its worth it, but gives me some piece of mind. Should have negotiated a 36K lease, but what's done is done.

Bought at Downtown Ford in Sacramento.

Jim

Just leased a 2013. Leather seats/Tuxedo black 36 mos. 10.5K mi. I put 3k down and my payments are 266 month. Looks like others got a much better deal on the 2012's. Bought from Mossy San Diego. Sales guys there didn't know very much about the car.

Just leased a 2012 diamond white w/ leather.
24 month lease 12,000 miles per year
$2500 total out of pocket (includes 1st months payment)
$199 a month thereafter. All American Ford in Hackensack NJ. I think this is the second FFE they've sold this year.

Ford has a promotion in my area for the 2012s = $2240 down, $244 for 35 months. I was able to get my FFE for $230 a month with same first down payment. I leased the last 2012 in the Los Angeles area I think. I'm glad to see that the FFEs were reasonably priced. With the $2500 CA rebate, our first year of lease will be free! :D

I would love to lease an FFE, but my 21K/year will be an impediment for a good deal. Any suggestions?

With Ford giving an extra $10k bonus cash for lease, vs $7500 tax credit for purchase, the lease is the better deal.

You can lease with the expectation of buying at end of lease. You wont pay penalities on mileage if you buy the car. The price you'll pay at end of lease is about $18k. You can then finance that purchase through a credit union or pay cash.

I feel pretty good about the deal we were able to get on a 2012 FEE with Leather in NorCal, $150.16 month w/tax 36 month lease/10,500miles. That includes a $3,500 drive off, however in CA you get the $2,500 even for a lease for which I received the check in the mail last week. So in turn we got it for $150.16 month with $1K down. Two months in and no regrets so far!

amimnaugh, which dealership did you go to in NorCal?

It was Sunnyvale Ford although when we purchased at end of November they only had 2 others left. They didn't know much about the cars or the rebates but the price was right!

I did see a few weeks back a similar deal although a bit more expensive at $199 for 2013 at Livermore Ford. Just make sure you do a 36 month lease as that is required for the $2500 rebate.

Cheers,
ART
