In the above picture is a screen shot from a Charge Point CT4000 charging station. The display screen is not a touch screen. You will need to use the buttons that are located below the screen. By pressing the button below “Price details” you can find out information on charging fees. The green number 1 with a check mark indicates that charging port 1 is available to use (1 is the left charging cord). The blue number 2 with a lightning bolt indicates that charging port 2 is in use. The charging port is out of service if red wrench symbol is displayed. A message is typically displayed as to what type of fault had occurred. You should call the 800 number and reporting the problem. You will also need to give them the serial number of the charging station when you call. Sometimes they can remotely reset the charging station. At the top of the screen it says “Unrestricted”, this means the station is available for public use. The 6.6 kW is the maximum charging rate the station can supply. If it says “Per Port” this means that 6.6 kW is available on both ports at the same time. If it says “shared” this means 6.6 kW is available on one port at a time. If both ports are being used output is reduced to half for each port. The RFID reader for your Charge Point card is found right below the push buttons. Just hold your card up to the RFDI symbol until the station responds.
