I watch quite a bit of YouTube. In fact I'd say I watch more YouTube than anything else.

What do you guys watch?

Here's a couple of people I really like.

https://www.youtube.com/@LostinthePond - This guys covers the weird little difference between Brits and Americans. It's actually quite funny.

https://www.youtube.com/@bobbyfingers - This guy makes dioramas. You have to watch it to really get it, but I promise it's worth the watch. Hysterical.

What are you all watching?

Whatever the algorithm feeds me. Mostly repair stuff, car reviews, miscellaneous solar energy info, vehicle builds, architecture, city planning...random music videos featuring cute singers...as a person afflicted with ADHD, my brain clearly isn't built for the Internet. In the days of UUnet it wasn't so bad, but I blame YouTube for me coming up short on my annual reading goals. People are impressed when I tell them I read three dozen books a year, but it would be at least twice that if not for YouTube and Reddit.

I turned off auto-play. It has made a huge difference in what is suggested. I recommend it. It does mean having to pick videos, but the algorithm doesn't get polluted.
