The dealer did the 13S09 PCM reprogram work, and simply noted "cust decline to perform recall 13C07 at this time". (Also skipped 13A01, apparently.)WattsUp said:Correct. Recall 13S09 may involve some drive-train reprogramming [...]JTCalif said:I know that wet streets require more care, especially driving up the hill we live on.
13S09 is the key one for this, right? (I waver about the earlier 13A01, and think 13C07 is unnecessary for ours: a warning sounds just fine, as is.) Not sure if dealership will do one without others, though.
If the dealer gets their hands on your car, I don't think 13C07 will be optional. [...]

(Odd: they also wrote that set tire pressure to 35 psi on all 4 ... while sticker on door frame clearly indicates 38.)
Only difference I have noticed so far, after recall work: the little pulsing circle on left side display (when regenerative braking occurs) now shows while going downhill with no pedal pressed; I think it used to appear only when I used the brake pedal, before.
Sounds: nothing has caught my ear, other than routine whine during heavy acceleration. (Pitch increases with rpm, like a gear train sound.) The DC to DC converter is a likely candidate for your sound, as davideos wrote. (I used to design those into test equipment, years ago.)
Traction control: I noticed a periodic pattern today, when accelerating hard in a turn. The inside front wheel slipped a little then caught, slipped a little, caught, ... about 3 times per sec. Is that due to such an automatic control?
(We still have had no significant rain here, darn it, so cannot test on wet streets.)
