Hi all. New member with a 2018 FFE with 52k KMS. Battery and "unique component coverage" until April '26.
I bought the car about 3 months ago and got the dreaded error message 6 weeks ago. 10 days in the shop and DC/DC converter was changed under warranty.
2 weeks ago same stop safely message and towed to dealership. It showed up as fine but then after tech drove it, was dead again. After not being able to track down the problem they got Ford engineering involved and the GFM 2 module was replaced. The car is fine (for now) but they are not covering the repair under warranty ($3k: yay Canada).
The reason given is the parts not listed under the warranty coverage. I sat down with the service manager and asked if this part was specific to the EV or is it used in the gas models. He confirmed with his EV tech that it indeed "unique" to the FFE.

So my question is has anyone had experience with getting this repair covered? My argument is that Fords own warranty states "Unique Component Coverage" in its title, and thus should cover this.
I'm looking for any advice before I contact customer service and thank anyone in advance!
